Week One - Preparing for the journey
“Be still and know that I am God.”
Before you can chart where you’re going, you need to pause and truly arrive in the present moment.
This week is about slowing the pace, quieting the noise, and inviting God to sit at the centre of your attention.
Think of it as setting the anchor before you start sailing — because if Christ isn’t the centre now, every course correction later will be harder.
Take a breath.
Lay aside what you were doing before you opened this workbook.
Picture placing all your worries, lists, and unfinished tasks into God’s hands — not because they don’t matter, but because He cares for them more than you do.
Ask Him:
“Lord, what do You want to highlight in me right now?”
“Is there anything you’re asking me to release before we go further?”
“How do you want me to posture my heart for this journey?”
Write down whatever surfaces — a word, a verse, an image, or a simple feeling. Don’t filter it.
This is your starting point.
Reflective Question:
What’s one word that best describes where you are in life right now — and how would you like to invite Christ into it?
“God never hurries. There are no deadlines against which He must work. Only to know this is to quiet our spirits and relax our nerves.”
Next week: We’ll start mapping the different areas of your life so you can see where the gaps and strengths really are.
